This Advanced Grazing Systems Sub-Course: Rotational Grazing in Brown Soil Landscapes, focuses on grazing management in the brown soil zone. 

This course builds on the Advanced Grazing Systems Course and aims to provide producers with an introductory understanding of the brown soil zone and the management considerations associated with it. The information provided in this course provides producers with enough information to develop a plan which is relevant to their farm operation in the brown soil zone. 

This course was developed with the help of forage and grazing experts across Canada. 

This course will cover the following topics:  

  1. Introduction to Rotational Grazing in Brown Soil Landscapes
  2. Best Management Practices for the Brown Soil zone
  3. Range Management Principles
  4. Grazing Riparian Areas
  5. Species at Risk or Concern
  6. Brown Soil Grazing Management
  7. Conclusion
